WELCOME TO A NEW GAME

The name of the game is “Collaboration”, and it’s important to get really good at it.

Collaboration is both the mindset and set of skills that supports people in achieving their very best at work and in life.

Collaboration requires skillfulness of all parties to be truthful, open, accountable, non-defensive, aware, and cooperative. Collaboration requires both technical skills and a collaborative mindset.

Companies and organizations that cultivate collaborative environments are brain-friendly, interpersonally safe communities that honor individuals and consciously seek to reduce their fears of feeling insignificant, incompetent or unlikable; the fears that trigger most negative human reactions.

Reducing these fears takes the proverbial foot off the break and frees enormous amount of human energy that can be invested in projects, relationships, and new ideas rather than politics, self-protection and hyper-competition.

Collaboration is driven by positive intentions and shared interest, which manifest through behavioral values that affect how we relate with others.

Some examples include:

  • Striving for mutual success
  • Building high trust relationships
  • Creating partnerships
  • Seeking understanding
  • Setting good boundaries
  • Not exploiting or being exploited

Focusing on positive aspects of work creates an energizing upward spiral that fuels energy, passion and enthusiasm, resulting in an alive and engaged workplace. A workplace where people enthusiastically show up, care about each other as well as the business, and actively build the skills and behaviors that enable radical collaboration.

We practice collaboration gamefully. Our training events are fun and filled with AHA moments. You’re learning as you’re playing along.
